Etiquette

To make trading easier on everyone, please read over this list and take it to heart. Some of these items on the list were thought up by members of the team and things they felt like we should cover. If you have any questions, comments, concerns or are having issues with a trader – CONTACT US. We cannot help you if you do not talk to us.

1) Be kind when contacting a shop about what you are interested in from them. If they decline a trade – LEAVE IT ALONE. They are allowed to decline a trade. Do not harass or bother them if they say no. They might just be traded out at the moment and might be willing to trade at a later date.

2) ALWAYS respond to convos. Most people can say they find that being ignored is much more rude than getting a “no”. Don’t leave people hanging!

3) If declining a trade, be kind when doing so. No reason for either party to be rude in any way during a trade.

4) Treat all trades like sales!! There is no reason why this should be treated with less care than you would with selling an item. This includes getting it shipped in a timely manner.

5) Always leave feedback for people!

6) Over time, you might be asked to trade by the same person multiple times. Even if you have declined in the past, please give the person the courtesy enough to take another look at their shop. It’s hard to remember out of these 3000+ members whom you have already asked to trade with.

7) If someone just posts asking to trade for one specific item and you cannot find anything to make the trade equal, just talk to the person! They might be interested in a lot more, but don’t want to ask you about a million things at once. Ask them if they are interested in more from you. Go from there.

8) If someone has made you a custom item and you were supposed to do the same, but suddenly can’t - DO ANYTHING you can to either finish the item or PAY the other person for the item. Nothing is more irritating than having an item you can’t sell because it was custom for someone else, just sitting around.

More will be added to this list if we feel it is necessary. Feel free to submit your own ideas. No ranting about something, just submit the ideas.
