How to Trade

These few steps will help teach you the proper way to trade! It's very easy and very addicting. Be kind to everyone no matter what the situation is. If you have an issue, please contact a leader to get it resolved.

1) Contact the seller you are interested in trading with via convo. Make sure you are clear as to what you are interested in or able to trade.

2) Be patient when waiting for a response. If you do not hear something from them within a week or so (use your judgment), please let a leader know so we can deal with the situation.

3) If you have been contacted for a trade – RESPOND BACK. Even if it is a “No”, please make sure you are responding back to the question. We will remove you from the team if you are a repeat “ignorer”.

4) Once deciding if you want to trade, please make sure the trade is FAIR. The equal amount of the cost of the item AND the shipping. Please be aware that some people have heavier items to ship, so you must take that into account as well. Both sides must agree on the trade. Don’t be embarrassed to ask for a change if you feel it is unfair – but be kind about it.

5) You MUST check out with each others’ items. Use the options of “other”, “money order”, or “check” in order to complete the trade.

6) DO NOT change the price of your items so you don’t have to pay for the Etsy fees. This is against their policy and they will shut us down if you are doing this. If someone asks you to change your price, alert them of this and/or contact a leader.

7) After you have done all this, please ship in a timely manner. If an item is custom made, make sure that you alert the other person of this. It is also appropriate to wait until the custom item is finished before you both ship. You must be responsible of how you will handle this.

8) ALWAYS leave feedback. For a lot of people, this is how they are going to build up their shop feedback. It’s a pain in the butt at times, but it takes all of 5 seconds. Just do it.

9) HAVE FUN!
